Hello,

Here are some links to the music side of my life.

You can listen to a few of the songs I've written and produced in my studio at MY SPACE.COM

MySpace.com - Michael Cvetanovich

MySpace song info:

Bad Case of Love Hurts - I wrote this one in 1999 and recorded the bass & drum tracks at PMD Studios Charlottesville, VA. Mixed and played everything else at my home studio. Features Gary Burnett on bass & Dan Barrale on Drums.

Like An Old Song - I wrote this in 2007 and entered it at the Mountain Stage New Song compedition. I was told it was very close to being a winner...oh well :-) Recorded at my home studio.

Morning Melody - I wrote and recorded this way back in 1990 and added it because I still like it. I should re-record it someday. I used an Akai 4 track cassette based recording system. I wish that thing still worked, it made great sounding ANALOG recordings. I'll post a couple of them below...

The Dreamer - I wrote this around 1997 but didn't record it until 2002. This was recorded and mixed at Kris Kress's PMD home studio. It features Rick Diamond on uprite bass, Len Wishart on Congas, and Dan Barrale on Cymbals.

Here are two recent live recordings, and one I recorded in 2002. Just click on the title links:

Off In The Distance - I wrote this song in 2001 and it was recently sung by Lousia Wimberger, with Penny Bowles singing harmony, at a benefit for TJMC's music programs Feb 2011.

Days Are Never Long Enough - This is a duet I sang with Lousia Wimberger at the same TJMC benefit. Song written by Steve Earle.

You Got What It Takes - I wrote this song for a friend, who did go on to do great things. Recorded 2002 at my home studio. Interesting beat-box sounds and finger popping on this one, which took forever to get the timing even close to being right. I gave up and here is what's left.

All of these songs were recorded back in 1994 on my 4 track/6 channel Akai cassette recorder in my living room using a nylon string classical guitar. Analog recordings! Can you tell?

All I Really Want To Do - This is me trying on a Dylan voice.

Only Love Can Break Your Heart - Here I'm doing one of my favorite Neil Young songs using the harmonica rack and all.

Momma's In the Kitchen - Yeah, and Papa wants a cookie. This is a fun song to sing...try it. :-)

Created a band called The Belmont Blues Band back in 1997. There were a lot of different members over several years. Here's a sample from 1999 featuring Gary Burnett on slide guitar/voice, Peik Van Waveren on harmonica, Dennis A. on bass, and myself singing this old Hank Williams' classic.

Honky Tonk Blues - Another famed living room recording ;-)

Here are three songs from a short lived in 1998 group called The Belmonties. Recorded in my living room. Features: Betty Jo Taylor - voice, Sandy Goodson - voice/guitar/flute, Len Wishart - congas, Janice Malec - bass, and me on guitar/voice.

Go to Sleep Little Baby - Our three part harmony on this traditional tune.

Rain - A great song from the Beatles. The balance of all three voices could not be corrected. Betty Jo Taylor is singing lead.

Lake Charles - Lucinda Williams song. Lead voice by Sandy Goodson
